Turbo Fire!

Oh my goodness, my muscles are in a continuous state of aching.

My dear friends Elizabeth and Carrie and I have undertaken the mountainous challenge of the Beach Body workout, Turbo Fire.

I'm seeing the beginning stages of results, and I must say....I'm quite pleased so far :)  Normally, I tolerate loathe working out, but Turbo Fire (and the company of good friends) makes it pretty fun!  Yes, we have our silly moments and we goof around plenty, but we work HARD! Elizabeth can attest to that fact (as I almost puked in her living room floor last week)....she can also attest to the fact that I become an instant idiot when trying to use resistance bands (no, they are not meant to be used as jump ropes, nor shot at your friends like rubber bands).

I highly recommend this workout...if you have friends who will do it with you! I don't think I could be self-disciplined enough to do this on my own!

Here's a sneak peak at what we've gotten ourselves into:

I'm not usually one to endorse products, but I just feel SO much better after a good workout!  I have more energy, I want to eat better, I'm sleeping better....it makes me a happier person in general :)  Endorphins really do make you happy!! :-D  If you're close and you want to join us for a workout, we'd love to have you! The more the merrier!  Also, if you want to get rid of baby weight, this thing is a miracle worker!!

Thanks for the recommendation, Kacey. I am always looking for a new DVD to work out to. I have to agree that the effects of exercising always makes my world a better place. :)

"Endorphins make you happy. Happy people don't kill their husbands. They just don't!"

I need some endorphins. Can I get those in pill form?

:p

Michael, I'm not certain that you would benefit a ton from this workout, because I feel like it's definitely geared more towards women (should have specified that)...although it is definitely a GREAT aerobic workout if you're just looking to get your blood pumping for a while....I can't say enough good things about it in that department. It will work every muscle you never knew you had :) But as far as the muscle building goes, it's more about toning and stretching than it is about strength-training. It's a division of BeachBody though, and I don't know if you've tried either P90X or Insanity, but I've heard great things about those as well!

And mom, that line was just for you :-D

I want to join...but the hours spent driving on the road would probably nix the workout benefits. Ah well.
